Confused About Traffic?
Confused About SEO, Article Marketing
& Driving Traffic to Your Site?
Perhaps you’re confused about search engine traffic now that the big Panda (PA) is watching your every move.
Do you find yourself wondering if article marketing still works or if it’s worth it to comment on other blogs.
What about paying for SEO? Is there an SEO service that you can trust? One that is not outdated?
These are questions that can be very confusing and basically you will find many different opinions on what works and what doesn’t.
If this is the case, what do you do to improve your traffic?
Here’s what I personally think about traffic.
==> I have learned that it’s not a good idea to rely on a single source for your traffic. Your traffic should be coming from Facebook, Twitter, Google, Youtube, other websites and from other peoples recommendations.
==> Do NOT fear the Google Panda algorithm. If you have fear of getting banned by Google, it’s time to go directly to Matt Cutts videos and take some time to see what Matt says about quality content.
Basically, you want quality content on YOUR SITE. You want to offer superb benefits to your visitors. And the first thing people should see on your site are a few of those benefits above the fold. That is pretty much at the top of your website.
When it comes to SEO, be sure to work with some basic on-page SEO guidelines. While you always want to put your visitor first, you also need to be sure that search engines can understand what your website niche is as well as what every page of your site is highlighting.
Stick to a single niche and don’t try to cover everything within that niche. It’s not only confusing for the search engines, it can be confusing to your visitors.
What About SEO and Backlinks?
Article marketing STILL works in helping improve your rankings. I know this is true as it’s been helping my clients move up in the rankings.
Press Releases are also helpful to drive traffic, but it is not long lasting. However, it still helps improve your overall rankings.
Forum backlinking… there is so much spamming via this method that I have to admit I really don’t know if it helps anymore. I would recommend caution here.
Blog commenting. Blog commenting can actually improve your traffic if the comments are good. This is time consuming but it can be quite helpful. Paying for spam blog comments has never shown me that it’s worth the money. I’d rather spend my money on article marketing.
Social Traffic
There are many ways to use social traffic. I think you can truly gain a huge benefit from both Facebook and Twitter regarding your traffic if you build it with a targeted market. Building this type of traffic using some types of auto-generated methods may not prove to be as successful.
However, there are wonderful WP plugins now that will help you generate great traffic and even have that traffic go viral if you use it well.
You can use plugins that require your visitors to LIKE your page, Tweet about it, or even join your list before they “get” something on that page. There is even a script that will “give” away a freebie if your visitors share your page with their friends via email.
As you can see there are many ways to drive traffic to your website. Relying on one method such as Google for all your traffic can truly create a huge financial disaster. Many people lost their entire means of income when Google turned on the big PA.
Lastly, it’s important to understand and really take a long look at a concept most people either ignore because they don’t entirely get it, or simply do not believe it it.
What is it?
It is understanding the value of outsourcing.
Think of it this way. How many people do you think it takes to run a MacDonalds Restaurant?
One? That’s absurd isn’t it?
The best way to build a business online is to take every dollar earned and invest it into “growing” your business by outsourcing.
The best business to build is the one that can be built by getting paid to provide a service.
The best service to provide is one that you can make money paying someone else to do the work.
Get paid $100.00 to provide a service where you can pay someone else $25.00 to do the work.
Make sense?
Hope so.
Social Enteraction Via WordPress Plugins
Years ago I used to build websites using a WISIWYG html editor like FrontPage or Dreamweaver. It was a pain even with the WISIWYG (what you see is what you get) editor.
Then somewhere along the line I was introduced to WordPress and I have to say that with all the wonderful plugins that you can get with this program, WordPress is in my opinion one of the best ways to build a website or blog.
The most recent plugins that I have purchased are CommentLuv Premium, and Google Plus Poster. I have been busy so have yet to install the GPPoster, but I will get to it soon.
Anyway, there are some very important plugins that you should have installed if you are a blogger. I decided to list a few of them in this post today. You can watch a video that really brings out the importance and reasons for installing social plugins like CommentLuv, click here to watch the video now.
This list is not in any particular order of importance.
1. CommentLuv Premium – There is a free version, but there are just so many great benefits to the paid version it’s well worth the price to get it. One of the more specific reasons to get this plugin is due to the increase in comments and the community spirit for the thousands of blogs that have installed it. Andy created many great videos to help us understand the real power of this plugin. I highly recommend you watch them to get a clear idea of why it is truly one of the top plugins for WordPress to own.
2. Google Analytics – The Google Analytics for WordPress plugin allows you to track your blog easily and with lots of metadata.
3. All In One SEO – This plugin helps you create a SEO friendly post. Includes adding in your meta description, tags, and keywords. There is actually a more powerful SEO plugin called, HeadSpace -, which I have not had time yet to fully grasp all that it can do, but if you have a techi spirit, I believe this is a far better plugin than All In One SEO.
4. TweetMeme – There are many ways to add in a Twitter button, this is a nice and quick way for your readers to retweet your post.
5. W3 Total Cache – This WordPress plugin makes your pages load faster and stores static versions of your site which means it requires much less CPU processing than using WordPress all by itself.
There are plenty more great WP plugins, but this is my short list of must-haves. In addition to these I would recommend you get to know Google+ the new social network online. It’s very much like Facebook and not like Facebook. That’s where the learning more about it comes in.
I believe a really good WP plugin to have is the Google+Poster which will automatically add a little snippet of your posted articles to your Google+ account. It also ads in a link to your post as well. Google+ is going to really be “THE Social Network of 2012″.
As I have time I’m going to be making a greater effort to learn more about this new network. There is in fact so many different apps that are intertwined within the Google network it’s almost it’s own Internet all by itself.
Success is Learned Through Failure
You bet it is!
Have a look at this quick video. Did you know that Michael Jordon didn’t make the cut when he was young? Can you imagine someone telling Lucille Ball that she was not cut out for acting?
Learning From Our Failures
Yes, we fail. And we do so because we are human. Yep, it’s both a blessing and a curse. We cannot skip the learning curve. We have to take it one step at a time and a lot of times we fall off those steps.
I’m working on a special report and actually an entire series on this subject as in my S M A R T series, but I really enjoyed this video and wanted to share it with all of you who may feel a bit down or disheartened over some failure to achieve success online.
Here’s one of my main failures that I am working VERY hard on:
Sticking to ONE Thing
Thinking I could do more than one thing at a time.
“Stick to ONE thing. Sigh… believe me, I still have issues with this but this year I’ve done better. I have ONE business I’m working on online, my Netwoozy.com website. And I have one business I’m working on offline with a partner. She’s pretty much doing all the work, I’m just helping her out.” This is a quote by “me” in the Affilorama Forum.
Here’s a few more from the thread I started about learning from failures:
“So I would say the mistake for me was not being able to outsource. If I was able to go back, I would work at my job for longer hours in able have the extra money for outsourcing.
Having to do all the work on my own was overwhelming and it caused me to quit before I had a chance to succeed.”
This is one of my favorite comments:
“For me, the biggest mistake is not focusing on what makes money.
It’s easy to sidetracked by a thrill of starting a new site, a new project, etc. Sometimes the ones we already have get so frustrating or boring that we just want to toss them all into the wind and start something completely new.
But every time I’ve spent more time focusing on what already works, my income has increased.”

Why is Internet marketing so Hard?
Why is Internet marketing so Hard?
The thing about making money online is this… it’s NOT easy. Part of the problem is that there are many different ways to do it. Too many ways presented online as EASY, FAST and filled with EXTREME PROFITS.
I remember the month I earned $600.00 in Adsense income. One person thought that was nothing special, another person said, “I’d LOVE to earn that much in Adsense in one month.”
Last year my top month I earned over $6,000. To some people that is HUGE and others would say it’s still nothing to shout about.
You can earn $50.00 to $250.00 per day if you work very hard and you have the patience to do so. I can tell you right now how to start earning $50.00 per day spending about 3 hours a day doing it. Less if you have the right software.
For $7.00 you can learn how to get started on Fiverr, working your way up to that $250.00 a day, but it is work. It’s not hard work, but it is work. Some of that work can be done watching TV as it’s pretty mindless work. Other work needs your total focus.
The thing is… most people don’t want to work that hard.
Why is Internet marketing so Hard? Is There a Secret?
For me, the secret is focus. I believe that is the key for most of us. I have been very unfocused for a long time. I’ve tried many different ways to make money online and the only one that did not work for me was PPC and CPA marketing. I actually was not willing to spend more than $50.00 on these things so I’m sure I missed the path to success simply because I was not willing to risk the money to get there.
Personally, I think selling a service is the easiest way to make money online. This is your first step. I have been learning how to do SEO and keeping up with the changes for this since 1998. So, this was the service I have offered.
You can offer this type of service in several different forums online.
Warrior Forum, Affilorama Forum, DigitalPoint Forum and Wicked Fire.
However, with each of those forums you’ll need to get a good reputation going and or pay to offer your services. This is why I wrote the guide all about getting started in Fiverr. You don’t need anything but the knollege to get started.
There is not cost to join and offer a service on Fiverr. You receive $5.00 per Gig or service, and Fiverr takes $1.00 of that money. But you don’t pay upfront to start.
So, Why is Internet marketing so Hard?
Probably because you’ve been told too many times it’s easy and only requires a few clicks of a button to make hundreds of thousands of dollars a month, week or even day. Why is Internet marketing so hard? Because you have been lied to. Would you be happy earning $200.00 your first month? If not, maybe this is why it’s so hard.
I’m going to give you some freebies right now. For a tiny $7.00 you can get the full guide, but for now, here’s a few things you can do to make money online and it is easy, but it’s not free upfront.
SERVICES YOU CAN PROVIDE
1. Social Bookmarking – People need their websites bookmarked and they pay others to do it. The best way to do this is by:
a. Set up several accounts with Onlywire – this is free. Once you have it set up, many of the bookmarks can be done with just one post, others need manual submissions.
b. Buy the software that will make this a simple project. You set up all the accounts ahead of time, then when your client orders, you can take less than a few minutes to perform each Gig. I believe this software is $97.00. Click here to check it out. After you get it through this link, email me, I’ll tell you how to do it very fast.
2. Creating LinkWheels – This is a service that is in high demand. It is a pain if you don’t have the software to do it. However, if you do, you can make a lot of money offering this type of service. I personally use SENUKE X. I also use AMA and I outsource my article needs.
Why is Internet marketing so hard? Because people tend to use all the money they earn to pay bills. The truth is you have to learn how to use your money to give you the highest ROI, not a ONE TIME ROI.
For $7.00 you can learn how to do this. I did it the hard way. You can get started using Fiverr, it’s easy to start and the guide will help you learn how to do it painlessly. Click here to read more about this guide.
It’s hard because to make make money online requires that you work, you focus, and you stop listening to people telling you it’s easy. I hope this post has been helpful in answering that very familiar question ….
Why is Internet marketing so hard?
How Secure is Your WordPress Blog?
Hi Everyone,
I found this article at Article Productions today and I thought it was a good one to add to my site. My programmer mentioned to me the other day that there was a vicious virus attaching WordPress blogs older than 3.0. Which means…
A. You need to update all your blogs so they are at least 3.0.
B. I thought it would be a good idea to get an idea of what weaknesses hackers look for in WP blogs and this article covers that very subject – enjoy.
Hack Attack: Just How Secure Is Your WordPress Blog
People with Internet and web experience of all levels have worked to make sure that their websites, web service accounts and browsers were as safe as they could be from computer hackers. However, the hackers practice an old baseball saying which goes, “If you want to be a success you have to hit ‘em where they ain’t.”
The weakness that the hackers have found is the WordPress Blog. Many may have never considered a blog to be worthy of a hacker’s attention, yet with the way that advertising and marketing dollar potential have soared, that’s what sets a hacker off on their hunt for a victim.
The hacker attacks on WordPress Blogs take the person who wants to come to a particular blog to a different site that’s full of ads, many of them obscene and many of them virus filled, which obviously does not present what was the assumed landing point blog in the best light. In fact, one hacker attack, no matter how quickly it’s spotted and dealt with, can destroy all the work that the owner of that blog has done. If it’s a blog full of content with years of archive material, a hacker’s attack will turn all of that work into worthless untrustworthy words.
The attacks launched on WordPress Blogs by hackers get even worse for the blog owners. Google, for example, when (not if) their robots detect something suspicious about a WordPress Blog will include the following in the search result for that WordPress Blog.
“This site may harm your computer.”
If a person clicks on that phrase, which appears as a link within the search result listing, they will be taken to a page that will repeat the warning of harm to their computer and suggest that they go to
another site or blog that came up in their search results.
Even if a WordPress Blog owner catches the damage quickly, the time it will take to repair that blog’s reputation will be costly at a variety of levels. People will remember the warnings of computer harm no matter how strongly it’s presented that all with that WordPress Blog is well. A loss of blog traffic will mean a loss of ad revenue. In many cases this could mean the loss of advertisers since many affiliate ad
programs require a specific level of traffic activity.
WordPress Blog owners make the mistake of thinking that since the warning signs that their blog has been hacked are so obvious that they’ll be able to catch the problem before it becomes a major disaster. They would have to be proactive rather than reactive and monitor their WordPress Blog every minute of every hour of every day. Just five minutes under a hacker’s control can destroy the connection that WordPress Blog had made with the thousands of people who visit it at any point.
While WordPress does the best they can with security updates, that’s still just a reactive option for the WordPress blog owner. There is a proactive step every WordPress Blog owner can take to prevent hackers from destroying the work and reputation of their WordPress Blog.
