Clickbank Complaints – Affiliate Theft

Have you heard anything regarding affiliate Clickbank complaints? Perhaps you’ve had weeks of sales for some of your affiliate products and then suddenly nothing. It happens, the question is why?

Clickbank Complaints – Owners Cheating Affiliates

Affiliates work hard and spend time and money trying to promote Clickbank products. Many times affiliates have felt that the problem has been due to some hacker figuring out a way to steal their sale. However, there is another thief that people need to watch out for.

Who is it?

It is the owner of the product themselves. How do they do it? There are probably several ways of doing this type of thing.

1. The owner creates a sales page where the visitor can opt-in to their newsletter. Once they have them in the newsletter they can promote their product using a different sales page to make the final sale. This removes the affiliate link from the sale since it’s a totally unique sales page.

2. Offer a type of down sale. The visitor clicks out of the sales page and a pop-up message appears offering them a special deal. The special deal is on a different page where their affiliate link is again removed.

How do you avoid getting cheated by Clickbank owners like this?

Take the time to check out their entire sales system. This includes their newsletter. Opt-in to their newsletter and check out the links that should lead to a sale of the product. Click all the way to the page where you see the price of the product and option to buy it.

Next, scroll down to the bottom of the order page and look for your affiliate ID. If it says, “Affiliate = none” you know you’ve been cheated, or that you will be.

Clickbank Complaints – What to Do When it Happens to You

Here’s your opportunity to do two things.

1. Report it to Clickbank.

2. Email the owner and tell them you see how they are cheating their affiliates and you have reported them to Clickbank as well as to your own subscribers and forum readers. Let them know they have “blown” their opportunity to have affiliates like you work for them.

WHY would people want to steal profits from their affiliates is beyond me. Once an affiliate discovers this type of theft, is makes sense that they will stop promoting the product and spread the word about it to other affiliates.

I’m not sure how affective it is to send an email regarding this issue to the Clickbank complaints department, but if enough of us affiliates do this I would imagine it would get their attention and perhaps they would strive to make some changes in their policy. It would be nice if owners that doe this would be Slapped like Google slaps poor content sites.

Making Extra Money in Your Spare Time

Who has spare time? Let’s get real first. If you have some spare time perhaps the first thing to do is look over how you currently spend your money. Here’s a few things that you can eliminate from your budget that will not hurt your health, may improve it, and will save you money.

1. What do you drink that does not ADD any benefit to your health? Eliminate expensive drinking habits.

Starbucks – Wow! I cannot believe the lines going through that place everyday earning in the morning. I walk just about every am and pass by a Starbucks only to see a huge line of people waiting to get their coffee fix.

Buy the beans, make your own, it’s cheaper. Soda is unhealthy, eats at your bones and muscles because it’s highly acidic and in order for your body to compensate it takes calcium from your bones and muscles.

Beer, wine, juices and so forth… if you don’t need them to live or be healthy, don’t buy them.

2. Other bad habits – smoking, tabacco and other bad unhealthy habits. Keep track of the cost, how much would you save without them? You’ll live longer too!

3. Go to Fiverr.com. People do these little chores for $5.00. What will you do for someone for five bucks? Visit that site for some ideas on things you may want to do.

4. Paint numbers on sidewalks for home owners. Hey, years ago this guy came to my house and asked me if I’d like this done. He said he could paint it in color or in black and white. It was $7.00 and I was happy to pay him to do it.

You know what? I was happy to pay him to do this because I was impressed with what he was doing to make money. This could earn you $100.00 a day just painting 10 house numbers per day. So, in your spare time, say on a Sat. you could find a good neighborhood. Look for warn out numbers and make some money. It’s also good for your health to be outside walking.

4. Freelancer.com, Elance.com and Scriptlance.com. These are places that you can join for the purpose of doing things to make money online. You will have to take on some very low paying jobs at first. But then when you have a good rating you can go for better paying ones.

People hire others to create backlinks, write articles and create graphics and all sorts of other things. I use these places all the time as I outsource a lot of my work.

BIG TIP **** MAKING MONEY IN YOUR SPARE TIME

It’s not easy, it’s not always fun, and if you are not careful, you will get into a pattern of buying “get rick online” ebooks and programs without every making any money.

If you want to make money selling other peoples products as an affiliate, here’s some basic tips to do so:

1. Pick a product that is in good demand, but not targeted by tons of affiliate marketers. Low competition, high demand.

2. Create a WordPress blog for your product. Make it simple with a sincere desire to help people find the cure or solution to their problem.

3. Be sure you include a TAKE ACTION link or button. Plenty of those. Not just one.

4. Include testimonials from satisfied customers. Look on the site of the product and add them to your site.

5. Do not consider the search engines as the only way to drive traffic to your site.

a. Write high quality articles and submit them to the top 10/20 article directories.
b. Participate in forums where your customers are seeking answers. Add your links in your sig file. Be helpful and add value. They will come to you for more information. This works. People find me all the time through the forums I participate in.
c. Check out other programs and look at other affiliate sites. Look at these sites. Ask yourself, “Would I buy from this person?” if so, why? If not why?

Okay, I hope this helped some of you. Perhaps just to get you thinking outside the box when it comes to making money in your spare time. Sometimes it’s about saving money as well as making it.
