Flipping Websites
Recently I sold two websites and earned me a fast $4400.00.
Sweet!
I’ve wanted to look into flipping websites for a long time but I’ve procrastinated. However, with these two sales I did learn something – it can be done!
I can’t give you advice or tips on selling through a domain name selling company, but I can tell you what worked for me and why I think it’s a great way to make money.
Why did my two sites sell?
The top reason was because they were ranking very well. The site I sold for $3,000 had a “for sale” page on it. I had a “for sale” sign up so to speak for about a year. This site was ranking between 7 and 8 for a while. I had several offers but neither of them had the money to pay upfront so I waited…
Then one day I thought I would work my SEO skills on the site and get it to ranking higher. The main site that was ranking number ONE looked pretty tough so I thought I’d only be able to rank it to number two. Still good so I started to work on it. After a few months it was sitting at number ONE!
Almost imediately I had an offer. In fact, the guy wanted the site so bad he offered me $500.00 more than my asking price because I had another guy who wanted it, he had just not paid me yet.
Two DAYS later I received an email from someone wanting to buy another site I owned. Their first offer was $300.00. I told them I earn that in Adsense in 2/3 months so NO, I wouldn’t sell at that price. Then they said how about $1400.00 and I said, “Yep! Let’s do it”.
That site was for a mortgage type business and it was ranking number 1 to 3 for many good Adsense keywords. Most of the keywords were paying about $2.00 to $3.00 per click.
So, the key factor here was that those sites were ranking number 1 for some of the valuable keyword phrases.
Now then… I’m not talking about hard keywords to rank. I wasn’t ranking at number 1 for something like bank mortgage or credit check. In fact, most times the site was only getting around 10 t 15 hits a day. Very little traffic, yet that traffic was worth about $100.00 to $200.00 a month in Adsense.
What does this mean?
Well, it means that if you get a site ranking at number 1 or 2 in Google you could find it easy to flip for some nice cash. And, it is possible to sell your sites without going through a domain name seller like Flippa.com etc…
I had read about flipping sites and the person said that once your site makes a little money it’s worthy of as much as $500.00 for as little as ONE clickbank sell. Well, the same applies to Adsense.
The site I sold for $3,000 was actually a site that sold a product that cost $4,000. So, that site was worth more due to the high traffic value and the excellent profits generated by just one sale. The second site sold well because of the nice Adsense profits.
I’m pretty excited about these recent sales. In fact, I’m doing research right now on my next few websites I’m going to build with the purpose of flipping.
So, how do I select my keywords? How will I pick my niche?
Well, I’m not going to share all of this with you now, but I will give you some ideas.
1. When I select a keyword phrase I consider two things.
a. I consider the competition of a keyword phrase by typing it into Google and adding quotes.
“best iPod online”
Anything under 50k is great. However, I know that I can go as high as 300k due to my personal SEO skills. But I recommend under 50k for newbies.
b. I look at the PR of the sites on the first page in Google. I like to see that some websites are ranking well with no PR or less than 3 Pr. If the entire page is full of PR3 and above I do not attempt to rank those keywords. I really like to see zero PR and n/a which means the site doesn’t have a ranking yet.
You can use SEO Quake addon for Firefox to get the PR of the entire list of websites in Google. I don’t use SEO Quake for anything else but the PR and age of the site. I don’t pay for any type of keyword tool, I just use Google Adwords tool and Wordpot.com’s free tool to find my keywords.

Mobil Monopoly Ads Update
Hi Everyone,
This is an update for Mobile Monopoly. Basically I think this is a great program, but not one that most people will be successful at. The problem is that in order for this to work you have to think outside the box. Not copy all the suggested campaigns that are provided.
I am having success with CPA but not the way it is presented in this program. I personally like to see huge profits from my efforts and I don’t like to test too much so I have not continued with this program since it really does require testing and patience. Plus, my profits were not high enough.
My personal feelings for this program is that it’s not for new marketers or people that cannot afford to lose a few hundred dollars here and there testing different campaigns in order to find the real winners.
Just my opinion guys.
Until Next Time, Have a Great Day,
Chrisi
CPA Marketing with Mobil Monopoly
Hi Everyone,
Basically I have decided not to promote this program as it seems to be a bit too much for new marketers. Just my thoughts, others may have different ideas but I really strive to encourage people to get into programs that will produce profits without losing them first.
Until then, you all have a great weekend!

My First Mobil Monopoly Campaigns
Hi Everyone,
I started to work this program. I chickened out the other day and my ad only ran for about a day with just one click before I canceled it. I had not noticed that the CTR had dropped down to .02 % and that’s not good enough. My calculations in the ROI of that campaign was that I’d either break even or lose money.
Anyway, this morning I started three ads. They are actually all pretty much the same product offer but I wanted to test different landing pages. The ads have not yet been approved so I can’t say what’s up just yet.
The approval process never happened and I gave up on those ads. See my other posting as to why I no longer recommend this program.
Talk Soon,
Chrisi
Mobile Monopoly, Explosed Profiting Campaigns
If you’re looking for a review on this program I will tell you that I did buy it and I did try it. I lost money trying to build a list and I earned some money promoting a few CPA offers. However, the time spent, the testing required, and the overall lack of consistant profits verses my time involved has me thinking this is not for me and therefore I can’t promote it for others.
The easiest way I have earned money so far online is by providing an SEO service. In fact I will tell you that this is something the majority of people trying it will succeed at. Most people never make money online due to getting distracted and not really “getting” it. It’s hard, it takes time, and you must stay away from falling into the buying game.
That is the game where people constantly buy programs instead of working them.
Here’s what I recommend for a new marketer or anyone NOT making money after trying for months and months – if not years.
Make money helping local businesses rank online. Click here, check out the step by step program SEO Box by Daniel Tan, and you’ll be well on your way to making money without doing any real hard work. I know, I can say that because I don’t work hard because I outsource almost 100% of the work in my SEO business.
