I have put hours and hours of training into people that I outsource my work to. In order to do this I have to really understand every detail about the jobs I need done.

This means I need to know SEO very well. And knowing SEO is something I do know very well.

Everyone that has a website wants visitors to come to their website. Many people want to generate more income through website traffic. This is the greatest challenge to website and blog owners.

The questions that are most often asked are, “How do I get backlinks” and “Should I or where can I buy backlinks?”.

Let’s first consider how to get backlinks. A backlink is a link that points to any page on your site. These can be internal or external backlinks. They are more valuable then links that are exchanged.

How to Get Backlinks for FREE to Your Site

1. Write articles and submit them to article directories or directly to website/blog owners.

2. Create and submit videos adding your URL in the description of the video.

3. Write articles and create Web 2.0 pages that contain anchor texts with URL’s leading back to your site. Squidoo and Hugpages are excellent places to start.

4. Join social networks and add your URL to your profile or public favorite sites.

5. Bookmark your URL’s in social bookmarking sites.

6. Join forums and add your URL to your signature file.

7. Offer quality comments to blogs that offer do-follow links in exchange for your quality comments.

8. Join networks like Myspace and Facebook where you can add your URL for public exposure.

9. Join Twitter and as long as you are not twittering just for the purposed of ,spamming URL’s you can announce new pages within your websites. The key is to offer up 4 or 5 twitters of quality comments per every 1 announcement twitter.

Should I Buy Backlinks?

There are several ways to buy backlinks to your site. Advertising your site on other websites or blogs is an acceptable way of obtaining backlinks. Google offers pay per click advertising that includes a link to your website. This is not the type of link that adds value to your site, but it is acceptable.

Locating websites that are highly relavant to your niche website/blog is one way to buy a backlink. This would be one way that I would feel comfortable recommending. As long as you reap good quality traffic from your purchase, it is an acceptable way to achieve backlinks.

If you are going to buy backlinks to your site, you have to ask yourself the question, “What happens to my links once I quit paying?”

There are companies that charge a monthly fee for “x” amount of backlinks to your site. Once you stop paying all of your links are removed. This is the same as holding your site hostage. Why? Because you know that once you stop paying all of those links disappear.

The reason why people go for this type of service is the idea that they will gain a first page position in Google rather quickly for a very small fee. One site charges $20.00 a month for 1000 backlinks. However, those links disappear the instant you no longer pay your monthly fee.

Personally this feels like blackmail and black hat SEO. Your money is better spent building links that will stick . Every dollar spent is spent wisely.

Backlinking Services that Increase Your Sites Value Over Time

In the section where I describe how you can get FREE backlinks to your site is where you can actually look for backlinking services. This is where you can in a sense buy backlinks.

You can pay for people to write articles, create videos as well as submit articles and videos for you. You can pay someone to bookmark your URL’s, leave quality comments for you and participate in forums on your behalf.

This is where your money would be spent wisely. It is difficult to do all of these backlinking chores on your own. Why not hire someone to give you a hand with these chores?

Building Internet Traffic – What Is Your Time Worth?

Many people today are trying to increase traffic to their website by spending hours and hours in research. In addition to this they spend money on a variety of software programs and how-to programs to learn how to drive traffic to their websites or blogs.

The question is – is it worth it? What really is your time worth?

In order to bring traffic to your site you need to understand so many things I couldn’t possible cover them in this post, let alone inside Netwoozy. I have over 10 years of experience in this field and a great deal of what I do requires me to “think on the fly”.

Let me give you an idea of what I have done recently for one client who was extremely frustrated with her previous SEO service provider.

Beginning in Oct, 2009, I was hired by a Real Estate agent in one of the top competitive states for real estate. Her goal was to have her website appear on the first page in Google for 4 keyword phrases.

The main keyword phrase she gave to me receives 110,000 searches per month according to the Google Adwords Tool. With over 15 million pages to compete with the main keyword she had me focus on is NOW sitting at number 7. It was positioned at well over 100 in Google.
