Increase Traffic Website

You’ve got a website and it’s time to increase traffic. Website traffic can become a bit of a frustrating puzzle and yet it is of course one of the main ingredients to any websites success. Let’s talk about driving traffic to our websites using wonderful search engines like Google, Bing, Yahoo and MSN.

First, let me just mention that today there are a lot of ways to describe your website. For instance;

Static websites, blogs, Web 2.0 pages like a Squidoo lens, and or you may be trying to promote an affiliate program through video or article marketing. All of these things would be a pain to mention per point here so let’s just call them all websites and save us some verbage.

Increasing Your Websites Traffic

1. Your site must have quality content – Relevant and Unique

Today search engines like Google and Bing are very picky about what they expect from the websites and blogs etc… they list in the search results. Of top priority will be the content. And the more tightly focused your content is, the more these search engines will understand how it relates to the keyword searches of their users.

2. Backlinks from Other Related Sources – PR & the Relationship to Your Site is Important

Although swapping or exchanging links is still acceptable, it is not considered as valuable as obtaining a link from a source that gives you the link without an exchange. In addition a backlink from a website that is closely related to your site is even more valuable than one that is totally unrelated.

Yet… on the other hand, high PR sites even when unrelated to your topic or niche can add high value to your site.

3. Maintenance is of Top Priority

The Internet changes everyday. New ideas, new software and new search engine algorithms are in the state of constant change. It is important to understand these changes and keep up to date with them.

In addition to this search engines love websites and blogs that have constantly new or changing content.  The more your site is updated with new content, including media like video’s, RSS Feeds, and so forth, the more attention you’ll get from these search engines.

So, in order to Increase TRAFFIC to Your WEBSITE etc… You will need…

Quality content that is updated frequently.
Quality backlinks from high page rank and or good quality links from closely related sites.
Maintenance that includes updating both the content and backlinks to your site.

Side Note: this site uses commentluv and top commenters. To be a top commenter you simply need to comment more than one time or more times than the top commenters. Spam is autodeleted, poor quality comments are manually deleted.

Yes, I do. But… you can’t just jump in, post a bunch of rewritten content, spin articles and submit them to article directories thinking that’s enough. The big P. has gotten a grip of scrapper, rewritten, poor content and it’s time for people to up the anti and post quality content for their readers. Actually that is my goal. I love research and I am taking on this blogging challenge by becoming a reporter. Nice that you noticed.

Netwoozy is a great blog with really great articles! I have no clue how to manage a blog with all the Panda updates. Well worth it though, I’d assume. Do you think it’s worth it, this blogging business?

    Hi Chris,

Well, since I do not own a copy all I can go by is what I see in your videos and the information on your site. It looks like a good tool to me. I do like the idea of saving time in research of the top articles. I don’t know why you would refer to it as the second best spinner though. “The Best Spinner” software has it’s downside. You have to pay monthly. The program I use was a one time purchase and I like it just fine. I don’t use spinners too much in general because in the end I edit a lot and it still seems like I can get it spun just as fast without them.

Recently I’ve noticed very poor spinning practices all over the web. Google is going to put a stop to this at some point. It’s only a matter of time. I highly encourage people to use spinners for ideas and help in spinning, but not use them to just click, spin and submit.

If you want me to test your software, you can email me. :)

  • Great read. I agree the focus on any website should be quality content. If you keep your content fresh you’ll be able to draw in visitors and create more links to your site. Too often webmasters overlook this.

  • Generating back link for site is a continuous. More back links more traffic. Very informative post. Thanks for sharing

Yes, it’s important to just keep adding fresh and relevant content, and then keep building backlinks to it.

One of the best ways of building those backlinks is article marketing. The bio-box links back to your site seem to have a lot of value search engine wise. My traffic has gone up a lot since I started using this method. And the best directory I’ve found is Ezine Articles.
