Do you get nervous when you’re about to spend money on a new software program or a new product that is all about teaching you how to make money online?

I confess, I do.

Why is that?

Because I have been burned many times. Not just a few dollars, but about $5,000.

Perhaps you have also been burned as I have in one way or another on some type of make-money-online program. If you have, don’t get discouraged. Here’s some facts about making money online that everyone should know:

1. You can make money online – lots of it.
2. You will be pressured and bombarded with more ideas than you can process.
3. If you do not have a plan and if you do not have confidence in your plan, you will fail.

Do you have a plan? If so, how many times has it been challenged? How many times have you purchased a product that teaches you how to make money, and within a week or so the person who sold you that product is already pitching another product that has nothing to do with the path you are currently on?

For instance – You buy a BBQ and the owner who sold you the BBQ sold you this BBQ because if you purchased it, you would be able to cook anything on it. Let’s call this guy Bob. So, Bob talked you into buying a BBQ because it will save you time and money and you’ll never have to worry about cooking inside your home again.

A week goes by and Bob calls you up and says, “Hey Jim, have you seen this really cool new boat that Jerry has? This boat is awesome. You buy this boat and you’ll never have to cook on your stove again because you’ll be cooking on the lake, why bother cooking in your backyard when you can cook on the lake??

So, you think, wow, I can cook on the lake? How cool is that?

What happened to your plan to cook in your backyard? Did your BBQ break? Is it not working? Did you even get to BBQ more than one night?

You see, this is what happens to us when we buy from people who in many cases, do not think twice about whether or not you actually used the BBQ they just sold you.

Sometimes it’s not always Bob’s fault. Sometimes Bob is just excited to learn of new technology and he wants to share it with his friends.

For instance, what if Bob calls you up and says, “Hey Jim. Have you seen this really cool new set of BBQ tongs? They are so great. They clean up your BBQ in seconds so you save time in the clean up”.

Okay, now Bob is giving you some information you can actually use. This is where buying that new item is not a bad idea, it can actually help you in your plan to cook in your yard instead of the kitchen.

Okay, so back to my fear of buying new things.

Be afraid of buying new things when they do not enhance your current plans. Avoid them. Stick to your current plan. Unless of course that plan takes you out of your comfort zone or is not working for you.

Recently I met a few guys who really want to help people succeed. Mike Long and Kelly Felix. About two or three months ago I purchased their “Bring the Fresh” (BTF) program. I have enjoyed learning how to make money using Mark Lings system but honestly, it’s a pain. It takes too long. I wanted something simple. I’m also tired of doing SEO. I’d like a plan where I did not have to spend as much time in SEO as I currently do for AB sites.

I heard about BTF and decided to give it a shot. I am loving this system. I have set up a website using their system and it while I tend to get a bit more lavish with my websites, it still took me about a day to get it set up. That includes the newsletter (not required) that I added.

What has really impressed me about Mike and Kelly is that in the three months I have been involved with their program they have never promoted anything that would distract me from the BTF program.

So, today I was thinking… how many other people are like me that have been burned again and again are about ready to give up before they see the wonderful results that are absolutely possible in this business?
