How Can You Make Money Online?

Learn the Dirty Secret

What is it?

The secret is that making money online can be VERY easy. It’s true. I know that sounds like a Good Secret, but it’s a well known fact that most people give up making money online due to some pretty common reasons.

1. They are overwhelmed with new ideas and product promotions.

2. They cannot focus on one idea because they do not have enough confidence in any one thing.

3. The reason why people lack confidence in what they learn is because they get lost in learning too many different things.

This may seem very simple to you, but it has kept me from making money for a very long time. Last year I broke this cycle and that is when I finally started making money online.

I started with Mark Lings Affiloblueprint. I stuck with that program all the way to the end. I created my first website using Marks blueprint, and that site is still earning about $500.00 per month. I created this first site in May of last year.

Next, I started to focus a little bit on article marketing. That also was successful for me and I am earning a few hundred dollars a month on two websites that I put very little effort into. All I did was write a few articles and submit them to ONE article directory.

I spent $20.00 and I’ve already earned over $200.00 from that $20.00 I spent. That is a pretty good ROI isn’t it?

What has made the difference for me is that I no longer allow myself to get distracted. If I am testing a new method I stick with it long enough to see if it will work.

Marks AffiloBlueprint will really only work well for perhaps 50% of the people who follow through with his methods. The main reason I say this is because it takes a great deal of patience to follow through with AffiloBlueprint. I spent 5 weeks building wowhacked.com. My first sale was very encouraging, but after working as hard as I did building that site I decided I really didn’t want to have to work that hard to do it over and over again.

The problem is that some of the sites you build will fail. I didn’t want to put a month of work into a project that would fail. I don’t mind spending a few hours on a project that fails, but not an entire month.

Mark actually did something rather unqiue to help people get that Affiloblueprint without all the work. He has developed 10 websites using the 5 steps to a $10,000 per month income. I really like Mark Ling and I believe in his system. After all it worked well for my first website that I built using his system. However, I still think it is a bit too limited for some people. I also think that you will need to have some special SEO skills to rank your sites well.

What is the KEY to Successfully making money online? I tell you at the end of this post. It is the best kept secret of the wealthy guru’s of Internet profits. Try not to skip to the end.

Because of our poor economy many more people are seeking ways to make money at home online.  Today I thought I’d go over a list of things you can do to make money online. I’d also like to point out that although making money at home may appear to be a fantastic opportunity, it is not for everyone and most people fail.

Why do most people fail to profit from their efforts online? Because they do not realize it’s not easy, it’s not simple, and it’s not free.

Before I go deeper into the subject, let’s just consider what it takes to make money online from the perspective of what type of person you will need to be.

1. To work online you will need to be very focused. Nobody is going to poke at you when you are not working. Therefore you have to be able to keep yourself focused day after day.

2. You need to have discipline. It takes discipline to work hour after hour, day after day all by yourself. If you don’t have the discipline to focus on your work the days you set aside to work, then you’re going to fail. No one else will do this work for you.

3. You need daily and weekly goals as well as long term goals. Goals help to keep your in progress. Progress is important for success when it comes to building an income generating business online.

4. Money. While it is true that you can invest very little money to make money online, it is not easy to do. The almost free route will cost you a full time commitment of your time. Plus, if you don’t really know a lot about websites, blogs, hosting, affiliate programs and so forth, you will have to pay to learn what you don’t know. This costs money.

5. You will have to pick a program and master that program before moving on to the next program or “making money” thing.

Still here? Great. Okay, next…

If you can handle the above, then you’re ready to move forward. Let’s talk about what you can do to make money from the Internet.

A. Google Adsense. This is VERY difficult to master. The fact is you have to work very hard to build websites that will earn a lot of money with Adsense. Of course there are lots of people who sell ebooks on how to make money with Adsense fast and easy. However, they are leaving out the one thing that you will need for it to be “easy”. Money.

I’ll talk more about Adsense in another post. Let’s move on…

B. Affiliate programs. You can make money selling other peoples products. This is really one of the best ways to make money online because you don’t need to provide any type of customer service. All you have to do is promote someone elses product. This is not easy, but it is less involved then trying to sell your own product.

Where do you find affiliate programs to promote? Clickbank is probably the easiest place for this.

C. Sell your own product. This is really a pain. Too much to go into, but I have done this successfully and I can tell you it is a pain unless you have the money to pay other people to do the work for you.

How do you sell your products. Whew! Too much to cover here but if it’s digital, you can sell it on Clickbank.

D. Providing a service. This is time consuming of course, but if you are willing to do things like write articles, submit articles, post comments and a vast array of other types of chores, you can also make money online. People with websites and blogs need people who can build websites and blogs or create graphics and do other types of things associated with design skills.

Elance.com, Scriptlance.com, Getafreelancer.com and Rentacoder.com are places you can look to find people looking for jobs you’re willing to do.

You can also post your online skills and services on craigslist.

You may be wondering what I recommend. What I recommend is that you do NOT buy everything that screams – make money online easy as eating pie!

I recommend learning how to promote affiliate programs. The easiest way is to set up a blog. WordPress blogs are highly favored by Google and with WordPress you can add a lot of excellent addon widgets that will help make things a lot easier for you.

Next, I recommend you learn how to promote your blog. You can hire me to help you do this. Check out my SEO Services.

Lastly, I highly recommend you spend your time where it counts the most. Then outsource the rest. This is honestly the MISSING LINK, the BIG SECRET that people who earn huge profits never really talk about.

The Internet Guru’s out there do not tell you this HUGE secret of making money online. That secret is outsourcing. I personally hire people to do a variety of chores for me. I can’t possible do everything myself. Netwoozy is my “baby” and I do write all the articles on this site myself. However, I have many blogs and many websites and I can’t possible keep up with all of them myself.

I have a person who does my graphics, someone who writes and posts articles for me, someone who works with scripts and design, and I have another person who I have trained to do many other chores. It all takes time and my time is best spent in SEO. Where is your time best spent?

Working online is not easy. It gets easier once you know what you’re doing and it’s far easier if you can hire other people to help you get the work done. In fact, without outsourcing you will probably have a very difficult time making a living online.
