Stop Spam Email

Stopping spam email is not difficult if you have the right program or rather the right email control program. I have tried several different ways of controlling spam and nothing was working as good as I’d like.

Until this year anyway. The only way to stop spam is to use a program like Spamarrest. This is the company that I use to manage my email. And I love how it works. If you want to check it out, click here. Let me explain how it works.

The key feature of Spamarrest is the “verification” link that anyone who emails you, that is not in your address book, must click on to verify they are a real person. So, let’s say you want to email me. You can email me at chrisi@netwoozy.com. Once you email me you will be placed in a sort of “limbo” land. This is actually my spambox. As soon as anyone emails me an automated email is sent out to that person with a link to confirm that they sent the email to me.

Most spammers do not have a return email that is monitored. This is why this works so well. VERY few people who are trying to spam me actually get through to my email box. If they do get through, it is because they took the time to read the automated email that was sent back to them from me, and actually clicked on the link.

In my automated email I actually warn people that if they are trying to sell me something or email me anything that could be considered spam I will report them. And I do. There is a button that you can hit to report anyone who sends you an email that was uninvited.

Now then… sometimes I get people requesting things from me like a link exchange or something of that nature. I do not consider those spam.  I don’t partisipate in link exchanges but I am ok with someone asking for one because it’s a legitimate thing to request.

Everyday I will visit my spambox and at a glance I can skim through the spam, which can be as many as 50 to 200 spam emails. Once I determine that it is all deffinately spam, I click a little box that checks them all for deletion and that’s it. It takes me about 30 seconds to look over my spam and dump it.

The reason I have to check my spam box is because I often times subscribe to newsletters and other programs that require me to confirm my subsrciption and since I have not yet included them into my address book they end up in my spambox. Spamarrest is truly the best way of stopping spam that I have tried and still use now. You can email me to check it out if you like. Just remember, I won’t answer your email if you don’t verify my automated email.

The best part of this deal is…

1. You get to try it for a month for free. This way you can experience it for yourself and decide if it’s all that it’s cracked up to be.

2. I think it’s $4.95 a month. Totally worth it.

You can check out Spamarrest by clicking here.
