Is Your Business Online?
I was driving down one of the main streets in Redding yesterday and as I pulled to a stop I noticed a lot of little mom and pop style businesses. I thought, “Hm… I wonder if these people have a website and if so, are they listed in the search engines. And can people actually find them?”
Recently I asked my chiropractor if he himself had a website. He said, “Yep, I’m online.” He was happy about the fact that he had a website.
However, he had no idea that his website was not driving any traffic from the search engines. The benefit of his website was very minimal. The only traffic he was getting was coming from people who already knew about his business or they knew about him personally.
I’m sure you would agree that if your business is to grow and gain any type of momentum, you will need to have new clients. People who don’t know anything about you, but are looking for whatever it is your offer. Whether that be a service or a product.
The Internet is growing at an extreme pace. I was introduced to a video that I thought hits this point on the head. It is well worth watching.
