Give Youtube a Little Squeeze
Give Youtube a Little Squeeze
“According to a new poll, YouTube is the most popular social media brand among American teens — beating out Facebook for the top spot.
Considering that 48 percent of 18-34 year olds check Facebook as soon as they wake up, the statistic is surprising, but it makes sense: over 2 billion videos are viewed on YouTube every day.” Snippet from www.huffingtonpost.com
Juicing With Youtube
Youtube has a Pr9, and it is not too difficult to squeeze some of that linkjuice from Youtube by posting your own vides on Youtube and adding your URL inside the info area. If you place your URL as the first.
Six years ago I posted a video on Youtube. Since then it’s only received a little over 400 page views. I really didn’t any backlinking to this video – at least I can’t remember doing it. It was before I started to get serious about SEO. Anyway, without doing much of anything as far as backlinking to this video it has is at a PR4.
Another video I did in May 2011 and it has a PR3 and I know I didn’t do much SEO to this one as it was one of those set-it-and-forget-it videos. So, you can see that it doesn’t take long for a Youtube video to gain page rank.
This is why… it’s a good idea for you to think about posting your own videos to Youtube to squeeze a little of that great linkjuice your way!
